2.17.23 // Beeswax Candlemaking w/ Amelia Stamsta // 5:30-8p
Come gather with us this winter for an evening of candle making! Our last candle-making class was a huge hit, and sold out before most of y'all could sign up. We are delighted to offer this skillshare again, and this time with rose petals!
Learn the basics of working with beeswax to create candles in this course taught by Amelia Stamsta. Materials included, and take home some beeswax candles with you! You will get an inside look at the system Amelia uses to make her beeswax candles she vends around western North Carolina and beyond. Local beeswax from Haw Creek Honey!
Amelia has been making candles for two years and is getting deeply into working with her hands. A lost art for many, she finds creating with her hands essential! Carpentry, chocolate making, wool felting, sewing, playing the cello and candle making take up her days. She holds the WNC community close to her heart and is grateful for sharing skillsets in order to bring community closer together.
