10.14.18 // Making the Sacred Hand Drum with Luke McLaughlin // 5:30-8:30pm

Humans have been communicating and creating sacred space with drums since the dawn of time. Come and add your own intention and magic to your own handmade drum. In this three hour class, we will be using locally sourced, rawhide deer skin and maple drum frames to create our own sacred hand drum. This drum will be perfect for ceremony as well as a beautiful piece of art for your home. We will be making our drum in the Anishinaabe (Great Lakes Region) tradition. 

$100-150 per person, sliding scale.  Includes all materials to make your own hand drum. Please pre-register. 

Luke McLaughlin is a naturalist, rewilder and founder of Holistic Survival School located in Weaverville, NC.
