In this class you will learn about the unique Ayurvedic approach to herbalism. Ayurveda is the traditional medicine of India, herbal healing being a significant part of its rich and ancient methodologies. You will gain an understanding of the qualities of common Ayurvedic herbs and how those qualities lend themselves to treating constitutional imbalances. Greta will also discuss the major categories of herbs with an in depth look at specific herbs and their Ayurvedic healing applications. You will also learn about the concept of anupana (vehicle) and its significance in custom designing herbal formulations.

Greta Kent-Stoll's mission as an Ayurvedic practitioner is to inspire, educate and heal others through the wisdom of Ayurveda. She is a graduate of the California College of Ayurveda at the Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist level and is a member of NAMA (the National Ayurvedic Medical Association) at the Practitioner level. Her practice, Asheville Ayurveda, is located in downtown Asheville. As an avid student and practitioner of Iyengar yoga, Greta recognizes the deep and inseparable connection between yoga and Ayurveda.
