Join us for a day of kudzu basket-making and storytelling with Nancy Basket at Tenderfoot Farm!  Learn all about using kudzu while fashioning a freeform laundry basket from split vines in this intimate day long workshop.  Using an ordinary small laundry basket as a mold, you will learn how to gather, split and preserve extra vines for later projects. Why do ordinary weaving when extraordinary freeform lets your creativity turn rampant vines into functional artwork? Suitable for use as a coffee table with addition of a custom glass top.  Handles can also be added.  The class will gather in the shade in a beautiful spot overlooking the farm.  Students are asked to bring lunch and a vessel for water, and a comfy chair or blanket to sit on.  Throughout the day as students work on their baskets, Nancy will also share stories of her Cherokee heritage.
