Producing breast milk is natural, yet the art of latching baby onto the breast is learned. Get a great start to breastfeeding your baby in this two-hour class taught by a Certified Lactation Counselor. Since family support is a key factor in a positive breastfeeding experience, partners are also encouraged to attend. Topics include: -Benefits and preparation for breastfeeding -Anatomy and physiology of breastfeeding -Early feeding: positioning and latching -Learning your baby’s hunger cues -"Signs" that baby is getting enough -Hurdles -Maternal nutrition -Pumping, storing, and bottle-feeding -Beyond the first six weeks

Community Birth is a group of women trained, certified, and passionate about all things birth. We provide childbirth education, doula services, placenta encapsulation, and lactation counseling services that fit your unique needs while creating a supported, informed and confident community.

$15 per person -or- $20 per couple.
