Chronic inflammation is the root of many serious illnesses and the cause of a general imbalance in the body. The good news is that we can support bringing the mind and body back into a state of balance by eating foods that reduce or prevent inflammation. This class will focus on the role that nutrition plays in fueling the body and creating optimal health. We will explore the foundation of an anti-inflammatory diet and how to integrate foods that promote wellness into your daily eating routine. You will leave this class with practical ways to shift your diet to include more anti- inflammatory foods and remove foods that may be causing health challenges for you. Katherine Wilson is a nutrition consultant who uses a holistic approach to help people implement changes in order to achieve optimal wellness. Her focus is transitioning people to a whole food diet by utilizing person centered planning and experiential education in navigating the food system. She specializes in the connection between the gut’s effect on physical and mental well being and the correlation between inflammation, food sensitivities, food allergies, and illness. Katherine holds a M.S. in Holistic Nutrition (MSHN) from Hawthorn University. She is also a certified Integrative Health Coach and certified Natural Chef.
