About the Teacher Ashley Thurman is a mother, wife, earth lover and yogini. Ashley loves being in nature, spending time with her family, volunteering at animal sanctuaries & traveling the world in search of open-hearted communities. During her travels she’s realized despite the many differences in culture and tradition, a common language existed among the awakened, authentic personalities she encountered: YOGA. The support and love offered her by yoga communities both near and far root her inspiration to teach. Ashley believes Yoga is the bridge that binds us all together. She’s impassioned to be able to extend this through her teachings. Ashley’s classes inspire a deep sense of community; a family with a common goal: to connect deeper to oneself and to one another and to awaken to one’s highest potential. Ashley’s practice is rooted in Ashaya Yoga, an alignment based practice complemented by virtues of the heart. She loves challenging her students with a style that blends her love of alignment with dance-like fluidity. “Amongst chaos there is a place in the middle – between what we once were and what we shall be. In this place lives the experience of Lila- the divine dance of life. Lila teaches us to live and engage with presence in each moment. This is where the magic happens. Let’s not miss it”
